C&O Powder Coatings is a certified applicator for Interpon powder coatings across the D1000 and D2000 ranges, coating aluminium components for architects, fabricators and main contractors on commercial, residential and public sector projects. Our Interpon accreditation
To become a certified applicator for the Interpon D range, an applicator needs to hold Qualicoat certification first. Interpon then audits their processes and quality controls before awarding final certification.
The Interpon certification process includes:
- An annual scheduled audit
- A short-notice audit to confirm any issues raised have been fixed
- A full re-audit if we move premises or change ownership
With the Interpon certification C&O can provide an application guarantee to the powder coating which covers:
- Decorative – colour, gloss and finish for a set period
- Film integrity – the coating film against cracking

Interpon Ranges
C&O applies the full Interpon D range, from standard specification through to coastal and high exposure projects. Depending on project requirements customers can select:
- D1000 – This provides up to a 30-year warranty. Applied to Qualicoat Class 1 standard this is suitable for most inland commercial and residential projects.
- D2000 – This provides up to a 40-year warranty. Applied to Qualicoat Class 2 standard this is suitable for projects with higher UV exposure or a longer required service life.
Interpon D 3000
Not required for UK applications but designed for climates with a much higher UV exposure, fluoromax hyper durable powder coatings are suitable for the most demanding architectural specifications in the world. Conforming to Qualicoat class 3, the technology uses fluorocarbon polymer chemistry to provide maximum gloss and colour retention- please enquire as to suitability.
Interpon Powder Coating Process
Each component goes through the same certified process to ensure quality and consistency of powder coating.
- Seven stage chrome-free chemical pre-treatment
- Electrostatic powder application to ensure even powder coverage across flat, curved and complex profiles
- Curing in one of our continuous tunnel ovens to Interpon’s stoving guidelines
- Multi-stage quality control and testing for thickness, gloss, colour and adhesion before despatch
