AN ARCHITECT IS WANTED FOR A 52 HECTARE SPROUGHTON ROAD DEVELOPMENT IN IPSWICH
The local Ipswich council (IBC) purchased the old sugar factory site in 2014 and it will be re-used an employment led commercial district.
The winning team will need to focus on development options as well as a disposal strategy to protect the councils interests long term and maximize the returns.
According to the contract notice: ‘The site concerned lies adjacent to the boundary of Ipswich Borough but within Babergh District. The site is owned by IBC. IBC is not the planning authority for this site.
‘IBC wishes to work with the officers of Babergh Council in delivering a mutually agreed successful redevelopment of this site, whilst achieving IBC’s stated outcomes and objectives for the site.’
The winner will be selected in December 2015 with the results being submitted in September 2016.
