CARILLION WINS £440M BIRMINGHAM HOSPITAL CONTRACT

CARILLION wins £440m Birmingham Hospital contract A Carillion joint venture has been named preferred bidder for the £440m Midland Metropolitan Hospital public private partnership project. Financial close is expected around the end of 2015 with construction starting in early 2016. Completion is scheduled for mid-2018, with the hospital opening in late 2018.

GRAHAM CONSTRUCTION TO BUILD £13.5M CHESTER BUS STATION

Graham Construction has been selected to develop Chester’s new £13.5m bus interchange for Cheshire West & Chester Borough Council. Graham Construction will work alongside scheme architect Austin Smith Lord, consulting engineer Mott MacDonald and council officers to prepare detailed implementation plans. Work is expected to begin in mid-September.

Clugston Construction has started work on a £10m events hall at the Great Yorkshire Show Ground in Harrogate. The 2015 Great Yorkshire Show took place in mid July. With the stands now all cleared away, Clugston has moved on site and begun demolition of existing exhibition buildings to make way for the new exhibition hall.
